Central Music School (College) of the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory is one of the most distinguished and prestigious educational establishments in the world.
Our reputation as a college that provides high-quality professional education is recognized both in Russia and abroad. A lot of outstanding musicians, whose names are the pride of the Russian and world musical art studied here:
M. Rostropovich, V. Ashkenazy, L. Kogan, G. Rozhdestvensky, M. Pletnev, V.Spivakov and many others. Our graduates successfully realize themselves in the chosen field of musical activity: they are soloists, they occupy the leading positions in the world’s famous orchestras, teach at prestigious music schools in Russia and abroad.
The first international students appeared in the Central Music School in the period of 1949 — 1951:
Margarita Beleva (Bulgaria), Sasha Fahmy (India), Jose Philippe (Spain).
The opening of the International Department as an independent structure took place in 1995. Since the time of its foundation more than 400 pupils studied in the Central Music School from near and far abroad:
England, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Italy, Spain, India, Republic of Korea, DPRK, China, Costa Rica, Latvia. Moldova, Mexico, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Croatia, Yugoslavia and Japan.

Zakharieva Eugenia (piano), Bulgaria, the class of Professor V. V. Gornostayeva, graduated in 1964 (winner of the International R. Schumann Competition in Zwickau, II prize);
Yoko Sato (violin), Japan, the class of Professor L. B. Kogan, graduated in 1966 (winner of the International P.I. Tchaikovsky Competition, III Prize);
Ivo Pogorelich (piano), Yugoslavia, the class of E. M. Timakin, graduated in 1975 (winner of International Casagrande Competition in Italy, I prize, winner of the International competition in Montreal, I prize);
Lim Dong-Hyuck (piano), South Korea, the class of Professor L. N. Naumova, graduated in 1988 (winner International M. Long and J. Thibaud Competition in Paris, Grand Prix);
Kwun Hyuk Joo (violin), South Korea, the class of Professor E. D. Grach, graduated in 1999, (winner of the III International Violin Yampolsky Competition, Grand Prix; winner of the II Moscow International Violin N. Paganini Competition, I prize).
The International Department of the Central Music School is designated to deliver the uniqe experience of music performance to those talented young musicians, who wish to connect their lives with Music!
